Alice Sophia Marques

Alice Marques was born August 11 1925 and died August 7 2023 of natural causes in her sleep. Alice was born in Stanton Nebraska the daughter of Sofia Trojan and Ralph Podony , one of eleven children . Alice is survived by her daughter Sandra Loguidice , Son in law John Loguidice , and grandchildren Lisa Loguidice and Stephen Loguidice. Her older sister Ann Edwards & family . All of whom live in Orange County California . In addition to Larry , LoAnn Belz and her many nieces and nephews in Nebraska. Alice moved to Southern California with her sisters in 1942 . She married Aboim ( Mark ) Marques in 1946 . She was a home maker in the early years and later as a book keeper for their auto repair business . They were married for 39 years . Alice later worked for the Placentia Yorba Linda school district before retiring . Alice was a member of East Side Christian church for many years . One of her passions was sewing . She volunteered using her craft making beautiful dresses for small children well into her late eighties . The dresses were donated or sold to raise money for under privileged youth . Miss me , but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take as part of the Master’s plan . One more step on the road to home and the sun has set for me.
