Anne Marie (Lewis) Moore was born on August 12, 1941, to Carl G. and Cloris Marie (See) Lewis in Spokane Washington. The family lived at Plaza, Washington where Carl worked on the Sires farm and farmed on his own on family ground near Spangle, Washington. Later that fall, Carl and Cloris took a leap of faith and moved with Ann and her brother Allen, who was three years old, to the farmstead they bought near Rockford, Washington.
Ann attended school at Rockford through her sophomore year in high school and graduated in the second graduating class of the new Freeman High School in 1959. She married and had a son Johnny in 1962. In 1970, Ann married Wayne Daniel, and the family lived on Weller Road at Worley. Ann and Wayne later divorced but they remained friends and stayed in contact until his passing just a few years ago.
Ann and Johnny moved to Fairfield, Washington when Johnny was in middle school. She worked for Dr. Harry Gibbons, D.D.S. as a receptionist and scheduler for his dental practice for over 30 years. She loved serving the people in the local communities that “Doc” Gibbons served and was a friend to everyone that passed through the door. After Dr. Gibbons’ retirement, Ann Studied to be a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in that field for about a year before deciding to retire.
It could be said that Ann knew “what everyone was doing”. If so, it was because she was truly interested and concerned about all of those that she came into contact with.
Ann was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church from her baptism until the time of her passing.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Moore, her brother Allen Lewis, and nephew Sean Lewis. She was preceded in passing by her parents, a grandson, Gabriel Moore, niece, Laura Lea O’Brien, and sister in-law Karen Lewis.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Marie Hahner, Cheryl Loeffler, Brad and Rhonda Veile, Geri Knott, and the staff at South Hill Rehab Care Center for their care and help in her final days.
A graveside service will be held in her honor at the Rockford Fairview Cemetery on April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cathy Barrick officiating. Those choosing to make memorial contributions should do so to the charity of your choice, the Southeast Spokane County Fair Association, Fairfield Flag Day Celebration organization or Rockford United Methodist Church.
