Anna Agnes Flores

Anna Agnes Flores, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, in Monterey, California. Born on December 30, 1940, in La Spezia, Italy, Anna’s journey brought her to the United States in 1956, where she dedicated her life to family.

Anna's professional journey began in the 1960s as an operator for Pac Bell, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment. However, her most profound contributions came in her role as a loving housewife, where she devoted several years to raising her children. In the 1980s, she continued to be a part of her community while working at Marina Dunes RV Park. After years of hard work, Anna retired in 2002.

A proud graduate of Monterey Peninsula College, Anna cherished education and had a deep-seated passion for reading, often spending countless hours scouring bookstores for her next literary adventure. Her penchant for literature complemented her adventurous side. During the holidays with her family she would make homemade raviolis that became a cherished tradition.

Family was importance to Anna. She is survived by her immediate family, which includes her daughter, Maria-Paola A. Totaan of Marina, CA; her son, Anthony J. Flores of Trenton, MO; her granddaughter, Savannah M. Totaan of Marina, CA; her grandson, Brandon S. Arthur-Flores of Trenton, MO; and her younger brother, Vincent J. Nola of Marina, CA. Her legacy and values live on through them.

Anna was preceded in death by her father, Vito Nola, in 1974; her mother, Paolina Nola, in 1997; and her beloved Irish Setter, Flame Flanagan Flores, in 1989. 

In her later years, we found solace knowing that she was no longer suffering and was at peace.

The memory of Anna Agnes Flores will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived filled with love, compassion, and joy.
