Archie Ernest Rodgers

Archie E. Rodgers, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on January 16, 2012. Archie was born on March 28, 1924 and raised in Washington, Pennsylvania. He married his first love, Salome Boothe on September 25, 1943. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the Army Air Corp. Archie was employed by the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan and retired in April, 1979. Salome and Archie relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado and eventually to Sun Lakes, Arizona where he could golf twelve months a year. Archie will always be remembered for his humorous jokes and stories. He is survived by his wife Salome Rodgers, son Archie E. "Dean" Rodgers Jr. and wife Colleen of Mesa, Arizona, son Brett Rodgers and wife Margo of Grand Rapids, Michigan and daughter Cheryl Dinkgrave and husband Donald of Goodrich, Michigan, grandchildren Douglas Dinkgrave, Scott and Janelle Dinkgrave, Kyle and Leah Rodgers, Amanda Rodgers, Erik Rodgers, Brooke and Terrain Foust, great-grandson Banyan Foust, sister Gladys Skariot and many close nieces and nephews. Archie will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. A private family memorial has been held. Donations may be made to Grace Hospice, 2141 E.
