Arthur Thomas (Tom) Peacock passed away in his home in Laguna Woods, CA on July 17th 2016 after a long battle with Parkinsons and Alzheimer's disease. Tom was born on April 15, 1935 in Columbus, Ohio to Arthur R. Peacock and Lena P. Jones Peacock. He graduated from Canal Winchester High School in 1952. Upon graduation, he joined the Navy where he served our country for 4 years. Tom spent the first part of his service on the aircraft carrier, USS Yorktown supporting troops in Japan and Korea. Later, he was an aviation machinist at the U.S. Naval Auxiliary Air Station in Monterey CA. After his service in the Navy he attended Ohio State University. It was there that he met his wife of 57 years, Virginia Darlene Hause. They were married September 7th, 1958. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Tom took a position with Douglas Commercial Aircraft in the fuel systems division. During his employment with Douglas, he traveled to Canada, Europe and the U.S. representing his company in two professional organizations, the ASTA and CRC.He remained with Douglas until he retired in 1991. After retiring, he moved to Everett WA where he worked with Boeing Aircraft as a consultant. Tom enjoyed playing golf and visiting the National Parks in the US and Canada with his family. He is survived by his wife, Darlene of Laguna Woods CA, his son Brian Jay Peacock of Henderson, NV, his daughter Kelly Ann (Hollack), and a grandson, Trevor Karl Hollack of Huntington Beach, CA.
