Avis Marie DeSaulnier- West

Avis Marie DeSaulnier West, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully ascended to be with our Heavenly Father on October 20th, 2025. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 10th, 1935, Avis blessed us with 90 beautiful years filled with love, kindness, and cherished memories. She touched the lives of so many and will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Avis was a woman of unwavering faith and a deep devotion to her family. Her love extended not only to her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren but also to her beloved animals, flowers, and the tranquility of country living. She nurtured those around her with warmth and compassion.

Avis is survived by her sisters, Lee LeClair and Joyce Schabowski, and her devoted children: Steve Desaulnier (and wife Marie), Mike Desaulnier, Jerry Desaulnier (and wife Cathy), Beth DeSaulnier, Arnold Desaulnier, and daughter in law Deb DeSaulnier. Her legacy of love lives on through her grandchildren, Grace Godinez (and husband Steven), Megan DeSaulnier, Christopher DeSaulnier, and her great-grandchildren: Sophie, Ariana, Nina, Joey, Vanessa, Bailey, Addison, and Cason.

While we rejoice in the wonderful memories shared, we also remember those who preceded her in death—her sons Bruce DeSaulnier, Daniel DeSaulnier, and Brian DeSaulnier, her husbands Jerry DeSaulnier and Doyle West, and her siblings Phyllis Opitz, Richard Premont, and Alfred Premont, as well as her parents, Alfred and Josephine Premont.

Avis's spirit, warmth, and love will continue to illuminate our lives. She has left us with a lifetime of memories that we will hold dear forever. Though she may be gone from our sight, she will never be forgotten.
