She was born in Parkdale, Oregon June 24,1933. She is survived by her children. Trudy Slater and husband Lanny, Vicki Gates and Steven Espinosa. Grandchildren Shane Slater, Spencer Seavey, Sabrina Seavey and Chad Brinkley. She also leaves behind great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by Lewis Espinosa husband and father of children. Cecil Heiskell the love of her life married for 27 years. Longtime companion Bob Finnlynson. Sister Pearl Gray and her two brothers, Norman and Carl Severson.
Our mother was strong, outgoing, loving and fiercely independent to the end. Family was the most important thing in her life. A value that she shared with family and friends. Her strong faith and trust in God got her through life's many challenges. Her most difficult was the loss of her youngest daughter Karin.
Our mother always shared special words of faith with family and friends.
