Barbara Jo Olson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara “Jo” Olson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Jo died on September 13, 2026, after a yearlong struggle with cancer.

Jo was born on August 11, 1943, in Seattle, Washington. She built a life filled with family, friends, miniature schnauzers, laughter, and compassion. She gave generously to others through her work as a medical office manager before retiring in Vancouver, Washington. Her family will remember her quick wit and her love of riding her horse, Shameless, hula dancing, genealogy, NASCAR, and travel.

Jo is survived by her daughters, Shelli (Brian) Millhuff and Susanne Larson; her son, Greg (Aletha) Harden; her granddaughters, Taylor Larson and Peyton Larson; her sister, Jessalyn Begerson; her niece, Laurie Carter (Dave Schulte); her nephew, Steve (Denice) Bergerson; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Miller; her father, Jesse Miller; and her brother, Richard Miller. Her love remains a guiding presence for all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared when they are available. We welcome you to share your memories or photo of your time with Jo.
