Bruce Raymond Worley was born Jan 15, 1945 and passed away Apr 2, 2019. Bruce was a resident of Cypress, Tx. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Bruce was born in South Bend, Indiana the son of the late Odas and Thelma Worley.
Bruce honorably served his country from 1966 to 1968 in the US Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal serving the majority of his enlistment in Germany attached to the 9th Engineer Battalion. Bruce was a dedicated and respected professional in his 35-year career with Dwyer Instruments beginning in 1972. In 1976 he opened their southwestern sales office in Houston, Tx. In 1988 Bruce relocated to Southern California continuing his career as the North American Sales Manager ultimately retiring in 2007. An avid golfer, Bruce served as the Vice President of the Temeku Hills Men's Golf Association, was on the board of the Temecula Valley Golf League and Captained the Temecula Valley Golf League Travel Team. His passion for golf was recognized and shared by many. In his memory the Temeku Hills Men's golf association will be adding his name to their memorial plaque and will be contributing to the Southern California Junior Golf Association in his name. Bruce had a love for and followed many sports including little league, college and professional. He had a passion for gardening which could be seen in the beautiful landscape around his home. He adored his family, Bruce chose to relocate from California to Texas in 2018 in order to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Quick witted, Bruce always shared a humorous story or two in which you could expect a cheerful exclamation of "Yo" or "Stuff" to be intertwined.
Bruce is survived by his wife Deborah, Children; Reshonda Darling and husband Rob, Jennifer Horton and husband Phil, Kyle Worley and wife Sara and Justin Charnock and wife Candice, Grand Children; Elijah, Emma, Ellie, Whitney and Sammy. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Delores (Dee) Hartman.
