Carol Ann Cecelia Morris

Carol Ann Cecelia Morris passed away peacefully on August 13th at Ivy Park Tustin Evergreen Memory Care. Carol had been living in Evergreen Memory Care since last year, the compassionate care staff had become like family to Carol and her own family. 

Born in Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada, Carol spent her childhood in the Finmark District of Thunder Bay with her mother, Elizabeth Anderson (Moore), her brothers, Gary and Karl, and her beloved grandfather, Oscar Anderson. Her determination guided her through high school, working to support herself and eventually securing a position at the Registry Office.

In August 1959, Carol met Leonard Morris, through her best friend-Ingrid LeMarquand who is Len's cousin. Len was on vacation from his job at the phone company in California. During that vacation, they quickly fell in love. They were married that December, beginning a remarkable 65-year journey together. Making their home in Cypress, California, they raised two daughters, Ingrid and Lynne Ann, and proudly became U.S. citizens in 1970. Family road trips to Canada and weekend trips to the mountains remained treasured traditions, strengthening their family bonds and created memories her daughters have forever.

Upon retirement, Carol and Len embraced life in Menifee, California, cherishing their community. Carol's deep faith led her to serve as the head of the Altar Guild at Faith Lutheran Church in Sun City, where her commitment and meticulous manner shone. She enjoyed line dancing, daily walks in her community, and adventures with her dear friend, Carol Close. As well as road trips with Len to Ohio to see Lynne Ann and family and onto Canada for more adventures. 

Carol's  culinary talents became a family legacy, her recipes cherished by her daughters and grandchildren and will be made always in her memory.  Carol's five grandchildren—Travis, Taylor (Davinda), Andrew (Emily), Anthony (Agnes), and Natalie (Sheena)—and her eight great-grandchildren—Ethan, Vireo, Joshua, Jacob, Olivia, Ani, Julian, Lyla—filled her life with joy, creating countless cherished moments with them all. She had special relationships with her Grandchildren and was able to meet and know her great-grandchildren. Carol was the sweetest Mom, Gramma, Great-Grandma, friend and the personality stayed true throughout her entire life. She loved to have fun and enjoyed time with friends and family and loved to host events at her home. 

Carol is survived by her daughters Ingrid Galyan (husband Michael) and Lynne Ann Cuevas (husband Dave Ludwig), along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She reunites with her cherished husband Len, her mother Elizabeth, her brother Karl, mother-in-law Hilda Hewitt (Morris) her son-in-law Ray, and many dear ones who welcomed her to heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Surely, when she arrived in heaven she heard "well done, good and faithful servant" and a "hi, sweetheart I have been waiting for you" from Len.

Her family will celebrate Carol's beautiful life in the spring of 2027 at the home of Ingrid & Michael Galyan. A memorial in Carol's name has been set up at Faith Lutheran Church for the Altar Guild.
