Carole Ann Say

Born May 10th, 1949, Carole Ann Von Volbrecht, Meyers, Postelle, Say, McLellen, aged 76 years old, died peacefully Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in Christus St Michael's inpatient hospice unit In Texarkana, Texas. She is predeceased by her parents Sanford J. Meyers and Charlotte L. Meyers, Jonathan Scott Say (husband), Donald Dean McLellen (husband), Diane Meyers Massey (sister), and her BFF Naomi Olsen.. She is survived by brothers Martin C. Meyers, Paul E. Meyers, Rob J. Meyers and one sister Audrey L. Lowe, as well as several nieces and one nephew. Although Carole did not have any children herself, she was known as Ma Carole (pronounced Ma Cah-Rolley) and happily served as guardian for several years to Audrey and Rob who separately came to live with her to finish high school while Carole was in her late 20's, early 30's.

Carole attended State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNYAB) on a scholarship and later received her BS degree in Pyschology from East Tennessee State University while working for ARA (now ARAMARK) as a Food Service Manager which she did for 25 years. Always an advocate for animals, she spent her later years serving as a foster for special needs and senior dogs. Nothing in life made her more happy than being a mother to her dogs. As an expert seamstress, Carole enjoyed making quilts and meaningful gifts for others.The family will celebrate her life on June 27th in Russell, PA at a remembrance event party held in her honor.
