Caroline Madrid Martin

"Sweet" Caroline Lorraine Madrid Martin, a lifelong Carson resident and woman of God, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 at age 59. Caroline passed in her home in which she grew up, surrounded by family.

Caroline, the 3rd and youngest daughter of Robert Mendoza Madrid and Antonia Marie Madrid, was born on July 25th, 1961. She was always the family's "sweetheart, baby sister". She graduated from Carson High School class of '80. Like her parents before her, Caroline worked in the Southern California Aerospace industry for 22 years where she met her husband of 25 years, Larry Martin. Caroline went on to work independently as a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 20 years so she could spend more time at home raising the kids.

Caroline was married to Larry Martin on November 4th, 1995 in Bullhead City, Arizona. She was a loving mother to Tanya Dawson, Michelle Richey, and Joseph Martin.

Caroline is survived by her sweetheart and husband of 25 years: Larry Martin, Children: Tanya Dawson, Michelle Richey, & Joseph Martin, Sisters: Berta Brown & Cindy Beyers, Nieces: Desiree Hensel, Brooke Williams, Caroline Williams Nephews: Shawn Brown, Calvin Hensel, Blake Brown, & Tyler Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents and little brother, Robert.

Above all else, Caroline was a lover and a giver. Everyone who was lucky to have known her can attest to her overwhelming positivity and care. Her unwavering strength and love as the matriarch of the family has left a lasting impact in our hearts and she will be dearly missed. Caroline wanted people to remember her love of: Jesus, camping with her sweetheart, making crafts, the Hallmark Channel, visiting breweries, and country music. She also loved reading magazines from the back to the front just like her momma.

In lieu of flowers, there are 2 charities that Caroline held dear to her heart if you are inclined to give. Hallmark Channel's Adoption Ever After Fund helps shelter pets find forever homes. The second charity is the Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, which provides free classes and support for those battling cancer. Donations can be made in Caroline's memory on their respective websites.
