Carolyn Kay Tidwell (née Blailock), 69, of Brownfield, TX, entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2024. Born on September 22, 1954, in Sweetwater, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Obyron Blailock. Carolyn's formative years were spent at Sweetwater High School, after which she pursued higher education, achieving an Associate's Degree from Western Texas College and a Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University.
Carolyn's professional life was marked by her tenure as a Warranty Specialist at Thyssenkrupp, her time serving the community as a School Bus Driver, and her work with West Texas Opportunities. Her dedication to her career was paralleled only by her commitment to her family and her faith.
A devout member of Our Father's House and The Bridge in Decatur, TX, Carolyn's spiritual life was a cornerstone of her existence. She found solace and strength in her church and its community, actively participating in its many functions.
An ardent fan of the Texas Rangers, Carolyn also found pleasure in art, particularly drawing and coloring, as well as in genealogy. Her involvement in church activities and the joy she derived from being with friends and family were indicative of her vibrant spirit and loving nature.
Carolyn's memory will be cherished by her beloved husband, Don Tidwell; her sons, Gary Tidwell and wife Patricia, Larry Tidwell and wife Tina, Ron Tidwell and wife Callista; her daughter, Jodi Lee; her adoring grandchildren, eleven in number; and one great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her sisters Velma Doggett, Patsy Hornberger, and Dale Blailock.
