No one called him 'Charles'.
Chuck..Chuckles...Chucky Cheese... Carlos Queso... and Grumpa. That's how we knew him and loved him. And if you DID know him, you understand that he was not the sort to advertise personal details. He protected what was his, and those he cared about... So, in keeping with his trademark discretion, here's all that needs to be known:
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, and is survived by his adoring granddaughter, the love of his life, one toe, and a collection of people who remain damn proud to be considered his nearest and dearest friends- his chosen family. He was intelligent, funny, eloquent, generous, and so full of love. A true gentleman, proud patriot, doting Grumpa, and quite honestly one of the nicest guys anyone could ever hope to know.... He had the best laugh, and the biggest heart...
Chuck wasn't one for fan-fair, and did not want any formal services. However, his remains WILL eventually be interned at the military cemetery in by the bay.
