Charles Persinger

Charles Philip Persinger, 79, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026 with his wife Margaret by his side. Chuck to those who knew him, was a cherished husband, father, uncle, and friend, and will be sorely missed. Chuck was born in Sioux City, Iowa, to Charles Wesley and Anita Genevieve Persinger. In his early life he moved with his family to California. After a nearly fatal traffic accident at age 13, he grew up to become a California Law Enforcement Officer. He attended Riverside Sheriff's Academy, beginning a 20 year career in law enforcement. Always passionate about safety and teaching others, Chuck was also a firearms and tactical instructor, imparting knowledge gained from his years of experience and training to both civilians and law enforcement officers alike. Chuck loved his family dearly, and did his best to take care of them all, near and far. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with loved ones. Chuck is survived by his wife, Margaret Persinger, his daughter Kelly Persinger, his son Ryan Persinger and wife Teresa, his son Christopher Gaggia, grandchildren Jasper and Vivian Ray, his sister Louise Baker and husband Dale, his nephew Patrick Heskett and wife Sara and their daughters Presley, Annsley, and Charley Josephine. Charley was named in honor of Uncle Chuck, and they were able to meet shortly before Chuck's passing. Survivors include many more nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
