Christian (Chris) Allan Snelling passed away in Palm Springs, CA on Sunday, April 24, 2022.  He was the youngest son of Fran and Walt Snelling.  Born in San Francisco in 1960 – grew up in Sonoma County and was a 1978 graduate of Rancho Cotate High School.  He was a member of Teamsters Local 85 working primarily in the San Francisco trade show industry and, retired in 2020.  Chris was preceded in death by his father, Walt and beloved grandmother, Theresa. Chris is survived by his mother, Fran – brother, Kirk (Rosie), niece, Jessica - nephew, Travis, sister, Whitney and his Uncle Kenny.  His favorite days were spent boating, swimming, and water skiing at the Sacramento Delta with family, enjoying his brother’s famous Delta burgers.  Those days were filled with laughter where he and his brother could keep the family laughing for hours.

Following retirement, Chris moved to Palm Springs to be closer to family, and what a blessing to have him near.   He grew up watching the Raiders at their training camp in Santa Rosa in the 70’s and, was a life-long Raider fan.  Chris loved music and books - fortunately he was able to attend the final concert tour of the Rolling Stones in Las Vegas with close friends last November.   He was an avid reader and always had a stack of biographies on hand.  We will miss his smile, his laughter, and his incredible wit.  We are sure he will keep the angels in stitches.  Funeral arrangements are private.  Donations may be made to the Palm Springs Animal Shelter or charity of your choice.
