Chuck Moller

C. Charles (Chuck) Moller was born 9-5-1946 in Omaha, NE and passed away on April 21, 2019 in Gig Harbor, WA. He graduated from Blair High School in 1964 and attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Dana College. He enlisted in the USAF and proudly served from 1966 - 1970. He served 2 years in Japan at the Headquarters of the 5th Air Force at Fuchu Air Station outside of Tokyo from 1968-1970. After his honorable discharge he married Mary Denise Gutschow in December of 1970. He completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1972 and was employed by Union Pacific Railroad until 1985. He was City Manager of Council Bluffs, IA in 1986. He was Executive Vice President of Environmental Salvage in Council Bluffs, IA until 1990. In 1992 he and Mary moved to Spokane, WA where they were self-employed at the Suncrest Wellness Center, an outpatient psychiatric clinic they established. In 2008 they moved to New Haven, CT and returned to WA State in 2014. He is survived by his spouse, Mary Denise, sons Brock (Ellen) of Bremerton, WA (grandsons Braxton and Briggs) and Scott (Erica) of Omaha (grandsons, Braden and Kellan), sister Carol Burkhead of Blair, NE, one niece, Nicole, and many cousins. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and general love of life, especially attending Broadway shows, cruising on the Norwegian Gem, and rooting for the Cornhuskers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Madeline Moller of Blair, NE.
