Dale A. Manning, combat veteran of the Vietnam War who retired from the Skamania County Parks and Recreation Department and made his home in Vancouver and later Carson, Washington died of post-surgery complications at the Portland Oregon VA Hospital on September 11, 2022. Dale was an active disciple of his Lord Jesus Christ, attending services at True Life Church in Vancouver. He often traveled to distant places, ministering to people in need.

Dale was born on July 10, 1949, in Vancouver Washington. He was a widower, with no children, living alone after his wife Lana passed in 2006. He is survived by his older brother, Jerry Ruiter of Jacksonville, Florida, sisters Linda Gustafson of Spearfish, South Dacoda and Jean Ann Boyman of LaPine Oregon. He is blessed with several cousins who are spread around the country, his many local friends and his church family.

A Celebration of Life service was held at True Life Church, 12501 NE 99th street, Vancouver, Washington on 18 September. An additional service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on a date yet to be determined.
