Darrel Clayton Scott, of Temple, TX, died unexpectedly on June 10, 2022, at the age of 71.  He was born on April 23, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN. He was the eldest son of Stanley A and Elva Jean Scott. He was a 1969 graduate of Ben Davis High School. 

Mr. Scott retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He made Texas his home upon retirement. 

Darrel was predeceased by his parents, son David and brothers David and Donald. He is survived by wife Fe, his four children Darrel Jr (Amanda), Brandon, Daniel and Sarah, 11 grandchildren, brothers Stanley, Jr. (Dianne) and Richard (Lori) and sister-in-law Lisa, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no visitation or viewing. The body was cremated. As Darrel requested, his ashes will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.  Cremation arrangements were rendered by Smart Cremation Services.
