David Gordon McClure Jr., 75, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Gordon was born in Vancover, Washington on April 10, 1941.
Gordon graduated from Colton Union high School in 1959. After high school he attended Pasadena City College for two years and than served in the Marine Corps Recruit in San Diego, CA. Gordon was married to Linda M McClure (Colasanti) on April 8, 1989, they were married 27 years.
Gordon worked as a sales engineer at Caltrol Inc. for 32 years. After his retirement he enjoyed golfing, hiking, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for helping family and friends set up their computers and iPads or solve other questions. Gordon was well known at Woodhaven Country Club as the "Computer Geek Guy."
Gordon is survived by his son, Darin McClure and his wife Lisa McClure; his 2 grandchildren Ella an Kate McClure, his two Brothers, Tom McClure and his wife Paula McClure and Roger McClure; his sister Penny Wieder and her husband Bob Wieder; all his nephews and nieces; and the rest of his family and friends.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, David Gordon McClure Sr. and Josephine Allie Parker.
