On September 19,1946, David Arthur Ryberg was born to Ruth Marie (Weinbauer) Ryberg and Frans Oscar Ryberg in Geneva, Illinois. He met the love of his life, Fairlynn “Lynn” Pool, in Elmhurst in 1956. They graduated from York Community H.S. Elmhurst, IL in 1964, then he attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He and Lynn were married in March of 1967, he finished at Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago, IL as valedictorian of the class of 1968. He joined his father in the family business, Pedersen-Ryberg Funeral Home. Dave and Lynn moved to Houston in 1977, where Dave worked with Lynn’s stepfather at Walter Terry Distributor, Inc. In 2005, they built a retirement home in Surprise, AZ and were there at his peacful passing on December 12, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife Lynn, brother Richard Ryberg (wife, Elizabeth), children Dave Jr, Shelby Talley (husband, Todd), Wade (wife, Becky) and grandchildren Samantha, Shannon, David III (Trey), Gavin, Love, Jaden, Lief, and Casey (Rue Bear) and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life will take place at the Black Walnut Café, 5512 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77007 on March 1, 2024 at 3-5 pm.
