David Edward Wright

David Edward Wright, also known as Too Tall Dave, was found eternally sleeping on February 3rd, 2026, at the home he loved on Lake Roesiger.

Dave was born in Snoqualmie Washington on October 28th, 1955, but was alive back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. He was a simple man who loved to laugh and spend time with his family. In his younger years he enjoyed being a volunteer firefighter at the Lake Roesiger Fire Department, playing pool and golf and growing vegetables in his garden.

While he spent most of his adult life working in drywall, his passion was to build things for himself and his family including turning old window frames into beautiful shelves and wall decorations.

He had a sense of humor like no one else and was often playing pranks on his family. Christmases were always filled with family and tradition including a pancake toss and wrapping paper wars. He loved dogs and teaching them tricks. He always had cheese in the fridge for the neighborhood dogs…and they knew it! He had a love for pigs and enjoyed letting his kids host a pig roast at his house for many years.

Dave is survived by his sister Judy, daughter Sara (son-in-law Jerry), son Adam (daughter-in-law Jules), granddaughter Andrea and grandson Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Mildred. He left very large shoes to fill and his family misses him every day.

He has asked for his ashes to be spread at Lake Roesiger as well as in the Ilwaco/Long Beach area. A celebration of life will be held this summer in both locations and guests are welcome. Please contact his daughter Sara by emailing dw5ft20@gmail.com or calling 425-508-0738 for more information.
