W.C. Moore

WC "Dub" Moore passed away peacefully at the age of 97.  Son of Asa B and Marie Moore, he was born and raised in St Joseph, MO.  He graduated from Central High, then joined the Marine Corps, to serve in the 3rd Amphibious Corps in Guadalcanal, Okinawa, Guam, and Tientsin, China.  After WWII he worked in the movie theater business, and then settled into a 34 year career working for the Auto Club.  Retiring in 1987.   His first wife, Virginia, passed unexpectantly in 1974, leaving Dub a widower.  In 1977 he married Norma and shared over 40 years with her in Crest, CA until her passing in 2019.   He is survived by his sister, Marie; his two daughters, Terri and Mary; his two sons, Warren and Lyman; and his three step-daughters, Charlotte, Vicki and Linda.
