Dennis Lee Bell

Dennis Lee Bell (Denden) gave his spirit up to The Lord at 7:47 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, while in Hospice at home, surrounded by his wife and children after a long and difficult battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Dennis was born on June 22, 1952, in Burbank, California and during his childhood lived in North Hollywood. He married in 1974 and began his career in the beer and liquor industry where he was successful due to his jovial, amicable, and exuberant personality. Dennis enjoyed meeting people and represented his company well. His marriage ended 10 years later and in 1991 at The Smoke House in Toluca Lake, he met Connie, a widow and mother of Vanessa and Pierre Brougeille.

Dennis and Connie married in October of 1992 at the First Baptist Church in North Hollywood and shortly after he expressed his desired to become a Catholic. With the guidance of Monsignor Arthur J. Lirette he petitioned and was awarded Nullity of his previous marriage in 1994. Dennis began the process of conversion and was accepted into the Catholic Church on Easter 1995. Dennis and Connie were then married by Monsignor Arthur J. Lirette in a private ceremony at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Glendale, California in 1995.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Betty Bell. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 31 years, Connie Bell (Brougeille), his daughter Vanessa Brougeille (Eric Caver) and his son Pierre Antoine Brougeille (Ruby Martinez). He also leaves his brother Donald Bell (Deborah Brymer) of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister Carol Curry (John Curry) of Llano, California and nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A Catholic Mass and Funeral Services will be offered on 06/16/2023 at Saint Robert Bellarmine, Catholic Church in Burbank. Dennis’ ashes will be scattered in a private ceremony in the Santa Ynez Valley, California. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) or Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Los Angeles.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the professional and caring service provided to Dennis by the administration and caregivers of Holy Saver Hospice of Sherman Oaks, California.
