Dianne Helene Case

Dianne Helene Case passed away at the age of 73 peacefully on November 18, 2024 at her home in Garden Ridge, TX surrounded by her loving family. She was born the youngest of 6 children on November 28, 1950, to Eugene Wegmann and Helen Heinig Wegmann. She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Allen, her 3 beautiful children, Sharon (Allen) Shirey, Bryce (Tammy) Bogart, Kimberly (Michael) Flanigan and the loves of her life, her 6 grandsons, Tyler, Mason, Aidan, Bennett, Connor and Levi. She is also survived by her 2 brothers, Robert (Maryanne) Wegmann, William (Marie) Wegmann, her brothers-in-law, John Krause and Frank Breza along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Helen Wegmann, her brother, Gene Jr. And her sisters, Patty Krause and Jeanette Breza.

After graduating from St. Pius X Catholic Church and attending Ursuline Academy, Dianne graduated from Mac Arthur High School in 1969. She went on to become a Legal Secretary having been blessed to have spent over 40 years of her career working at Schoenbaum, Curphy & Scanlan where she prided herself on being William Scanlan Jr.’s secretary. While she enjoyed her work, she enjoyed the people more. It was there that she turned co-workers into lifelong friends and family. The love and support she gave was reciprocated ten-fold by those she worked with and for.

Dianne was an adventurer and loved to travel. Together, she and Allen visited places all over the world. From the mountains and the oceans to the European countryside and castles, she enjoyed exploring it all. When not traveling though, she could be heard cheering on her grandsons in whatever extracurriculars were in season. She was happy in a hockey rink, at a band competition, a choir concert or chess tournament but she was the loudest and proudest when it came to her Wolves, genuinely believing that they wouldn’t lose if she was in the stands. She left a hole in our hearts that none can fill but we find peace in knowing that she is now amongst the angels. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die”- Thomas Campbell

Please join us to celebrate her life on December 3rd, 2024 with a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma at 11:00am followed by a reception at The Club at Garden Ridge, (Ball Room) 21320 Water Wood Dr, Garden Ridge, TX 78266
