Family members will observe a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
A graduate of Purdue University and a forty-seven-year resident of San Diego, CA, Don may be best remembered as a loving brother and friend with a keen desire to make human connections. He was always ready with a quick joke to make friends and could be counted on to help others in need. Don provided generous support to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Don was a quiet man with a soft heart who daily considered the struggles of his fellow human beings. He was equally a man ready to share the joys and blessings of this life with old friends and new.
Don brought qualities of empathy, regard for others, and goodwill to his career in sales, which resulted in both financial and personal successes. Although he was plagued by chronic pain sustained from physical injuries sustained early in his life, he was courageous and worked to share the lessons he had learned with others on his journey.
