Spokane, Wa — Donald Ray Stansbury, 85, died Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at the Avalon Care Center in Spokane following a brief illness.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Loretta; his daughters, Jan, Ann, Dawn, Grandchildren, Curtis, April, Kandis along with with 11 great-grand children and many extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, 3 sisters, 1 nephew and 1 niece.
Born and raised in Spokane, the son of Ray and Vera Stansbury, he was a lifelong resident of Spokane.
In his earlier years, Mr. Stansbury entered and served in the USAF and then the ANG for an honorable 38 years including his service to the Korea War.
After retiring from the Air National Guard he and his wife were able to travel the United States together making several memories and life long friends along the way for 25 years.
Mr. Stansbury loved spending time with his family, playing card games, ocean fishing, and was a member of the FOE aries 2. He lived a very full and redeemed life. He was baptized and renewed his dedication to Christ on July 7th 2013.
A celebration of life will be held for Family, Extended Family and Friends on Saturday June 16th @ 11am. Turning Point Open Bible Church Spokane, WA
