Doris Ellen Lemble

Doris (Dori) Ellen Lemble passed away May 11, 2024 in Temecula, California at the age of 87. She was born May 3rd, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to Erwin (Erve) Lemble and Ada (Sally) Boyers Lemble. The family later moved to Petoskey, Michigan where they enjoyed fishing and boating on the Great Lakes. After graduating high school, Dori attended Valparaiso University and later Michigan State where she received a degree in speech pathology. Much of her professional life was spent in education, primarily in Tucson, Arizona. A Middle School principal there used the terms “exemplary, positive, focused, and successful” to describe her teaching. Doris’ passionate avocation focused on the dogs she cared for and that were exhibited by an accomplished trainer and Dori’s longtime friend, Ms. Sylvia Rodwell. Dori’s most prized and celebrated canine was a Great Dane named Parker. In Tucson Dori also enjoyed biking, playing golf with her dad, and encountering male and female professional golfers. After moving to Southern California Dori became a valued and respected substitute teacher in the Menifee School District. Dori was preceded in death by her sister (Jean Lemble Vosdoganes) and brother (Rob Lemble). She is remembered fondly by friends and neighbors in Menifee as well as fellow residents and caretakers at Temecula’s Harveston senior living facility. Her remains were laid to rest in a family plot at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio.
