Earl Kenneth Brown was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1941 on the last day of August. Ken passed away peacefully into the presence of his Lord, while in the company of his family & friends at home in San Diego on July 20, 2018.

Humble. Determined. Independent. Obstinate. Fearless. Compassionate. Loving. Generous. Selfless. Creative. Faithful. Clever. Sensitive. Kind. Intuitive. Jokester. Naturalist. Craftsman. Gardener. Stone Balancer. Felinophile. Witty. Loyal. Opinionated. Fun-ny. Personable. Mechanically Inclined. Frugal. Devoted. D.O.D.
Ken lived his dash on this rollercoaster of life with Fullness of Joy.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13.
On the 5th anniversary of his liver transplant, Ken was diagnosed with a totally unrelated cancer which claimed his life in less than 3 months.
He was a Son, a Brother, a Father, a D.O.D., an Uncle, a K.I.S.A., a Grand Father, a Great Grand Father, a Believer and a Friend.
Ken is survived by Soosan, his dedicated & loving wife of almost 23 years; & his sweet sister, June, his only remaining sibling. He is survived by his children David, Steven, Karey, Tracy & husband Daryl, Jessica & husband Scott and Sarah & husband Billy.. He leaves behind 12 grandchildren, Justin & wife Katie, William & wife Gemini, John, Joey, Chandy, Kenny, Ryan & wife Lauren, Samantha & husband Jonathan, Wesley, Joslyn, Quinlan & Tabitha. and 6 great grandchildren Llasina, Londyn, Dylan, Aavonika, Bebhinn & Natalie. Also remaining to mourn this dear man, are an abundance of loving nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Ken was predeceased by brothers Charlie & Ron and his dad & mom Charles E & Lydia M.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Ken's long time Kaiser Doctors; Kindred Hospice for their care and to Aaron Home Care for their compassionate attention to Ken's needs.
