Those who knew and loved her always knew her best assets were her loving heart and her "light up the room" smile.

She graduated from Syracuse University in 1953 majoring in American Studies, where she met her husband Leonard.

She enjoyed travelling, reading and making necklaces with beads.
She was a patron of multiple theatre organizations and truly enjoyed attending performances.
She was also a supporter of the San Diego Opera, where she found a love of opera in her later years.
