Our beloved Ernie passed away April 2025 from a rare form of leukemia. We cherish our memories and love him with all our heart.
Ernie was always a specimen of health, looking and feeling much younger than his age due to healthy diet and daily exercise. He loved to learn and to teach others to learn. After a stint in the Marine Corps, Ernie got his bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University and PhD in psychology from Washington State University. While a full professor at the University of Puget Sound, he obtained his law degree from UPS law school. He was a brilliant, tough professor and his students adored him. He was acknowledged one of the “great minds on campus” and retired as professor emeritus.
In retirement, he walked miles daily, read voraciously, learned piano, and spent hours quietly tending his garden which gave him endless joy. But most important in his life were his wife and three wonderful kids who he loved deeply and unconditionally.
Ernie is survived by his wife Julia, his daughters Sharron Graham of Eatonville, Kelly Graham of Shoreline, son John Graham of Seattle, and sister Antoinette (Toni) Graham of Clarkston, Washington.
