Estella Glancy, born in Monte Vista, Colorado on July 18, 1944 to Jose and Juanita Ortiz, passed away on September 22, 2015 at 11:50pm in Kirkland, Washington. She was married to Martin H. Glancy.
My mother was a loving and caring person, who would give you the shirt off her back without even asking. She worked as a Caregiver most of her life, tending to elderly and terminally ill patients. God blessed her with a huge heart and an endless capacity for love. She continued this profession until 5 years ago when she suffered a stroke and retired, at which point she moved in with her sons in Bothell Washington, where we were able to provide care for her needs. She loved to cook and create new dishes and collect recipes to try and share with people. She loved the sound of waterfalls and fountains ty ,even keeping a small fountain she received from her granddaughter close by her bed. Her favorite color was purple and often had Orchids of that color to brighten the room.
Survived by her 2 sons, Douglas and Robert Glancy, her grandson James Glancy, and granddaughter Makaela Glancy, as well as her sister Helen Bick.
Estella wished to be cremated and have her ashes entombed with her late husband Martin Glancy at Fort Rosecran's NationalCemetery in Point Loma, CA. She asked that no service or memorial be held.
Estella was laid to rest with our Father Mort at Fort Rosecran's on November 18th 2015 . A new headstone was selected and will be set in about 30 days , The enderment will read "Together at Rest "
