Frances Rue Balbirona

Frances Ledbetter-Pieterman-Rosas-Balbirona.


Frances was beautiful 87 year old woman who was
determined, brave, curious, and creative. Throughout
her life she was always open to learning new things.
She dove into computers in her 50's. She became a
master wood carver, winning awards in her 60's. Her
memory for dates and people bordered on gifted. For
over 60 years, bowling gave her great joy as she
made life-long friends on teams and in tournaments.
A talented and gifted artist had Frances winning
numerous awards and ribbons for her arts and crafts
at the Western Washington State Fair over the years.
She will be missed greatly by her three children, Laura, Gary
and Cathy, her brothers George and Jerry, her 4
grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Donations
to honor Fran's memory can be made to Franciscan
Hospice. A celebration of Frances's life will be held on
March 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Towers Bowling Center
on 6th Avenue in Tacoma WA.
