Francis X. Morse was born on September 24th in El Cerrito, California and lived all of his life as a native Californian. He served our country in the United States Army in the 504th Parachute Infantry from March of 1944 to January of 1946 where he proudly fought in the Rhineland Ardennes Campaign in Central Europe in 1945. During his time in the Army, he was awarded several medals including a WWII Victory Medal, a European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, a Bronze Arrowhead, a Good Conduct Medal and last but not least, a Purple Heart. He married the love of his life Barbara and had three children, Casey, Lise and Andrew. Francis was a strong yet gentle and loving man who lived through the loss of his wife and daughter, yet remained a strong force for his two sons, Andrew and Casey. He left this world with the grace and dignity that he lived and will be missed by so many.
