On July 19th, 2019 Gary Hojdila lost his long battle with cancer at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Loma Linda at the young age of 69. Gary is survived by his loving wife Penelope and two sons Matthew and Jordan (wife Morgan), as well as his one and only grandson Waylon. He also is survived by his sister FA and his brother Bernie. He was predeceased by John and Florence Hojdila of Monaca, PA. John was a proud service member and a D-Day survivor.
Gary proudly served with the Army in Vietnam. He grew up in Monaca, PA and moved out west with his family to southern California finally residing in Mira Loma ,CA.
Gary was an industrial electrician by trade, he had many other professions along the way and he was a very skilled tradesman. One of his strongest attributes was his dedication to being a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always put family first and his needs second. Even in illness he tucked away his pain and suffering always finding a smile and finding light in the darkest of times.
Gary will be laid to rest at Riverside National cemetery surrounded by friends and family, loved ones celebrating his life and legacy.
