Gary was a kind and caring man, who loved his family, being outdoors, and gardening. He was a dedicated family man who lived for his children . He was a traditional man, who liked to sit back and observe the world around him. 

Gary passed away peacefully at his home on July 28th, 2024 at the age of 78. He was Born on August 8, 1945 to Lon and Patricia Stickrod. He was the middle child of two brothers, Randall and Greg. Gary was born in Great Falls, Montana and later moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon. After retiring from owning his own Gas Stations, he followed his love of the outdoors and fishing and moved to Otis, Oregon. There he acquired his Fishing License and became a commercial dory fisherman. This is where he felt most himself. Outside, on the water, with his sons.

 It was in 1967 when Gary met and fell in love with Janice and they were married in Reno, NV. He immediately became a father to Jans three children, Jeff, Joel, and Julie. Gary and Janice had two sons of their own, Gary Jr. and Marshall. Gary took pride in his family and worked hard to take care of them. The family loved camping, skiing, and hunting together. He was an avid BBQ man and the family enjoyed many backyard get-togethers.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Lon, and his mother, Patricia and his two brothers, Randall and Greg. He also lost his eldest son, Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife Janice, and four of his children, Gary, Marshall, Joel, and Julie.

He will be missed greatly.
