George Michael Candy

George Michael '_Mike'_ Candy, 68, of Dana Point, CA, passed away on December 14, 2012. He was a handsome, kind, athletic, intelligent, fair, fun loving, dedicated husband, father, and friend.Mike grew up in Laguna Beach, keeping close ties with his oldest friend Christopher '_Kit'_, they graduated LBHS class of 62, and then Mike went off to the University of Kentucky. He loved to read, swim, cook, debate, enjoyed an eclectic collection of music, and watched the many sports that his body could no longer participate in. He was a gifted athlete with an outstanding sense of humor and quick wit.His loss is profound, and deeply felt by all those fortunate to have known him. He is survived by his wife & best friend Virginia of 35 years, two deeply loved children whom he was so proud of- Mark and Heidi, and two grandsons that made his heart swell- Kyle Michael and Ryan Mason Candy.Arrangements entrusted to Smart Cremation
