George Francis Meyer

George Francis Meyer was born November 14,1940 in St. Louis, MO and took his final breath and died in peace April 22, 2017 at the Veteran's hospital in Loma Linda, CA.
George was a good friend to many. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Hazel and George and brother Marvin.
He is survived by his son, William Meyer of California, daughter, Rebecca McGowan (Julius) of Texas, grandchildren, Christopher Meyer, Wyatt Meyer, and Julius McGowan II and great-grandchildren, Cameron Meyer, Malakai Meyer and Ariah Perry. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Wilda Sparks, nieces, Vickie Herndon, Sandy Sparks, and nephew, Steve Potts all of Missouri.
After a brief stint in the US Army, George worked for Disneyland for 37 years until his retirement in 2007.
George was a firearms enthusiast and loved all things outdoors. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and member of the Corona Sportsmans Club. He also participated in the civilian marksmanship program and project Appleseed.
George had a great affection for anything Old West. He loved western movies and made frequent trips to visit places such as Tombstone, Arizona, Calico Ghost Town, California, Silverton, Colorado and Sedona, Arizona.
He was a collector of German beer steins, Pepsi memorabilia, old coins, and WW1 & WW2 antiques. He also loved old cars and did some amateur racing in his yonger days.
He found much peace in the meditation and teachings of Buddhism .
He will be loved and missed by all.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" memorial Saturday, April 29th at 2 p.m at the American Legion Hall 1557 Yorba St, Corona, CA for those who knew him and wish to attend.
