Gilbert Ashton De Vaux



Gilbert Ashton DeVaux, age 77, has joined the presence of Our Heavenly Father this day of December 19th, 2014.





  Gilbert passed away at Albany General Hospital following ongoing illness.  He was born in San Francisco, California on October 20, 1937 and was raised in this area and in Long Beach California where he resided until he joined the United States Army Air Corp at age 17. He served in the Army and reinlisted into the Air Force and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. While serving in France he became interested in food service and studied Food Artistry and Food Service while stationed there. Through out his life he was employed in Food industry and retired from CDRC in Salem, Oregon where he worked for many years.





  Gilbert was a member of The Church Of The Eternal God for 17 years and attended regularly in Woodburn, Oregon. He was well respected for his care and generosity to others and touched many lives through out his lifetime. He was a loving friend and father to his children who survive him, his daughter Sandra Solomon of Jefferson, Oregon, son Harry DeVaux of Washougal, Washington, Grandchildren Dakota and Dillon DeVaux of Washougal, Washington and a loving brother to his sister Betty Morrell of Redmond, Oregon.





  Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Marie DeVaux and sister Marie Allred. He has been reuntited this day December 19th, 2014 with his Heavenly father and Heavenly family. 





At his request there will be no service and burial is private. Condolances and flowers may be sent care of:
