Gloria Medina

Gloria Medina, beautiful loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many has entered eternal life on February 5, 2018 after losing her battle to cancer. The memories we'll hold near and dear to us are those of her singing and sewing. Those of you who were blessed to be a part of her life knew how much she loved to sing and would spend every opportunity she could in her sewing room, creating the most beautiful items you could image, every stich every fabric had her love and compassion on it. She had a big heart and welcomed anyone to her home and over the years she was not only our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, she was a "Mom" to many. She was our savior, our hero, our shoulder to cry on, our friend and the foundation of our family. There is a void in our lives now as she is no longer physically amongst us, but her spirt flows around us daily with every sight of a butterfly let us remember her and rejoice her and open our hearts like the Tulips she loved and embrace the memories she has left behind. Born on April 13, 1944 to Felicitas Montoya and Enrique "Henry" Sambrano. She is survived by her husband Abel Medina of Tempe, AZ. Her son Joel Medina and Rose Goupil of Chandler, AZ. Daughters Loretta Carbajal and her husband Robert Carbajal of Chandler, AZ and Lorina Medina and her fiancé Gilbert Munoz of Chandler, AZ. Grandsons, Joseph D. A Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, February 17th at 11 am at Valley of the Sun Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights, Chandler AZ 85248. We invite you to join us both in person and spiritually on that day as we celebrate her, we celebrate the life of our beloved Gloria Medina.
At the family's request we ask that those of you who are attending, if possible wear the colors of Spring. She loved the season of Spring, the colors, the flowers and smell of purity in the air. Thank you.
With this I leave you a quote from the song she sang to many of us, "Que sera, sera. Whatever will be will be, the future's not ours to see. Que sera, sera what will be, will be."
