Grace Wilson 79, passed away in her home April 20, 2012. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 5th 1932. She was the youngest of three siblings. In 1954 (she was 22) she moved to Vancouver, British Columbia with a close friend (via Toronto, Ontario). She found a job at the telephone company in Vancouver. She came to Seattle in 1959. She was in Seattle for the world'?s fair in 1961, and she enjoyed that summer with friends and acquaintances that '''stopped by''? Seattle for the Fair. She met Grant thru a mutual friend in 1965. They were married in Seattle, at University Presbyterian Church in 1966. She worked at West Coast Airlines from approximately 1959 to 1967 (which later became Hughes Airwest). She also worked at Wilson George Meyer & Company'?s Seattle office. She was the Secretary at Wedgwood Presbyterian Church and University Congregational Church. After that she became the secretary at St. Stephen'?s Episcopal Church in Seattle and stayed there for over 20 years. She was very active at Lake City Presbyterian Church for a number of years, serving on the Session and Board of Deacons. She met many friends during their stay at Lake City. Once she and Grant moved out north to Edmonds, they transferred to Maplewood Presbyterian Church in 2005. She was active in the women'?s group here and the session as well.She had many different hobbies during her life. She made elaborate egg decorations, ceramics, needlepoint, and greeting cards. She did enjoy working with her hands making things for others.She enjoyed getting together to play card games, share meals and catch up with the people in her life. She was used to hosting at her house for a variety of occasions (Holidays, birthdays, or just because!!) She enjoyed travelling also. While working at West Coast Airlines she was able to go to New Zealand and visit friends. She enjoyed going to Ocean Shores, Vancouver BC, and travelling to California to see her family. She enjoyed baking (making all kinds of cookies and pies), and some very special birthday cakes for her grandkids. She is preceded by her parents, Sister Malvine Webb, and Brother George Webb.She is survived by her Husband Grant, Son Dave, Daughter-in-law Angie, and her Grandson Bryan, and Granddaughters Sydney and Zoey.
