Greg Cannon passed away on August 23, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.

Greg was born in Chewelah, Washington, to Fred and Edna Cannon. After graduating from Davis High School, he joined the U.S. Army and spent time stationed in Germany as paratrooper before being honorably discharged. Greg went on to have a long and dedicated career as a truck driver before retiring and enjoying a well-earned slower pace of life and his time on the golf course.

Greg married Kristie Adams in December 1975, and together they had two daughters, Corinne Cannon and Kelly McQuerry. In July 2006, Greg married his high school sweetheart Cathy Simonson.

Greg was a talented woodworker and handyman who could fix or build just about anything. Throughout his life, he enjoyed golfing, boating, riding motorcycles, fishing, and camping. In retirement, he especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course.

Greg approached life with a calm demeanor and a sense of humor that those around him appreciated and enjoyed. He was also known for cooking Christmas morning breakfast, creating a lasting tradition and many special memories for his daughters and grandchildren.

In his later years, Greg loved reminiscing, telling favorite stories, and sharing memories from throughout his life. He took great joy and pride in his daughters and grandchildren and treasured the simple moments spent together, including many back porch visits with family.

Greg will be remembered for his steady presence, his humor, his ability to fix nearly anything, and most of all, the love and pride he had for his family. The stories, traditions, and memories he leaves behind will continue to be shared for years to come.

Greg is survived by his wife, Cathy Cannon and her children Sean Knudson, Heidi (Eric) Robertson. His daughters, Corinne Cannon and Kelly (Mitchell) McQuerry; his grandchildren, Kobe Gann, Parker McQuerry, Paxton McQuerry, Haylee (Corbin) Christianson, Avery (Hayley) Adair and great grandchildren Kason and Kelci Christianson. His siblings; Jack Cannon, Linda Burkett, Terry Cannon, Valdine Haisch, and Doug Cannon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edna Cannon, and his siblings, Evelyn Markham and Bob Cannon.
