Gwendolyn Mae Reiste

Gwendolyn Mae Reiste, 86, of Willis, Texas, passed away May 7, 2026 in the comfort of her home.  She was born in Wadena, Minnesota on November 7, 1939 to Vern and Gladys Chumley of Pine River, Minnesota.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Gwen will be remembered for her faith, kindness, sense of humor, and love of travel.  She was a member of New Horizon Church of the Nazarene where she served faithfully through music and hospitality.

Gwen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ed Reiste, daughters Barbara (Dan) Foret, Janet (Marty) Hernandez, grandchildren Brittany and Caitlin Foret, Stephen, Ashley, and Juliana Hernandez, brother Duane (Cathy) Chumley, sister Verna (Jim) Coffland, close friends Rick and Sally Blauser who were like family to her, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on May 15, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at New Horizon Church of the Nazarene, 1201 N FM 3083 E, Conroe, Texas, with a light meal to follow.  The cremains will be interred at the National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
