Gyogi - Flippo

Gyogi "George" Flippo was born on August 10, 1953 in Victorville, California and passed away on September 26, 2021 at the VA Hospital in Martinez, CA. George was a lifelong resident of Woodland, California. He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and graduated from Woodland High School in 1971. Shortly after graduation George enlisted into the United States Navy and completed his Utilitiesman Class "A" School at the Naval Base Venture County, Port Hueneme, California. He spent the next 4 years in the Sea Bee Battalion serving his country. After his discharge George worked briefly at The Californian Assisted Living Community and then began his career with the City of Woodland. He retired in 2010 after 26 years of service. George was an avid motorcycle and gun enthusiast.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Tommy Gene Flippo, Sr., his brother Tommy Gene Flippo, Jr., his father and mother-in-law Wallace and Ursula Foster. He is survived by his ex-wife and best friend Leslianne Foster, his sons Connor Foster-Flippo and Chance Foster-Flippo, and Baer our Boucheron. George and Baer spent many hours over the past 2 years watching movies, sharing snacks and lots of extra treats. George will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery with military honors.
