Harvey Thomas Markley, 83, of Kent, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2019 in Seattle at the VA Hospital.

Harvey was born in Scio, Ohio to parents, Thomas Wilbur Markley & Adeline Frances Markley on July 2, 1935. He moved to Seattle at age of 2. He graduated from Highline High School in Burien, Class of 1955. He married his wife, Marlys, on February 14, 1964 in Seattle. He worked as a bread delivery driver for Langendorf bakery (which later became Gai's Bakery) for 27 years and was a proud Teamster his entire career. He served in the United States Coast Guard. He was involved in umpiring baseball, refereeing football, Boy Scouts, was a part time Realtor and enjoyed golfing, camping, watching football, going to the casino and spending time at our Fawn Lake weekend/summer home. Family was a priority to him and everyone he met became part of his family.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wilbur Markley and Adeline Frances Markley.

Harvey is survived by his wife, Marlys Markley of Kent, Children; John Markley of Yuma AZ, Carolyn Kraus and Husband Joe of Everett, Jeff Markley and wife Ann of Kent, Greg Markley and Teresita of Auburn, Kelly Markley and wife Corrina of Tacoma and Cindy Lucas and husband Jason of Lake Tapps as well as 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all
expressions of sympathy and acts of kindness shown during this time of
bereavement.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock am, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 SE 240th Street Kent, WA 98042. A reception will be held at Meridian Valley Country Club immediately following the service.
