Hubert Dean Rochelle, 76, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Tempe, Arizona.

A man known for his adventurous spirit, simple living, and his devotion to those he loved, Dean Rochelle leaves behind a legacy of friendship and family.

Dean was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, to the late Edward Fennell Rochelle and Emma Jane Danford Rochelle.

Dean was an avid traveler and had a knack for making friends everywhere he went. He was a friend of Bill for 28 years and helped many others on their journeys. Dean loved plucking guitars and listening to Outlaw Country (John Prine was his favorite). He also enjoyed fresh seafood, going to the range, and watching movies. He had an enthusiasm for automobiles and US politics.

He is survived by his loving partner Lorena Fuentes Alonzo, former wife, Mary Ellen Rochelle, son, Jesse Rochelle, and daughter-in-law, Cassandra Rochelle. He was a doting and proud grandfather to his two granddaughters, Josephine Rochelle and Penelope Rochelle.

Dean is peacefully reunited with those who preceded him in death: his beloved daughter, Kelly Jane Rochelle, and his brothers Edward Danford “Danny” Rochelle and Douglas Lee Rochelle.

His family will remember him as a man who lived life on his own terms, loved a good story, and held his family above all else.
