Jack worked for H. B. Zachry Construction Company building power plants so northeast Texas became his home. He was an avid supporter of the Tatum Eagles where his wife was a teacher and his children attended school. Just days before his death, he was at a middle school basketball game cheering on his grandson’s team. Jack liked golfing, playing guitar, and smoking cigars with friends. He also enjoyed coming home to his dogs and cats who eagerly awaited his return.
Jack’s church was an important part of his life and he served actively however he was able. He often worked with others returning the blessings he had received himself. His spirituality showed mostly by his living example. He is missed by many but left a legacy that will not be forgotten.
