Frank is survived and missed by his loving wife Linda (née Moore) of 58 years; and his daughters, Jeannie, Cindy (Tammy) and Emy (Chris). Forever cherished and remembered by his five grandchildren, Allie (King), Lucy, Tybee, Jamie, and Luke. His memory lives on with his 3 great grandchildren, Ophelia, Josiah, and Elias.
Frank was born on a Christmas Day, December 25, 1942 to James Franklin Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Parish in Laurel, Mississippi, where he spent a rowdy and loving childhood. After Frank graduated from George S. Gardiner High School in 1960, he began working right away off shore on oil rigs and learning the oil drilling business.
In 1965, Frank met his beloved Linda, or “Red”, in Venice, Louisiana, while on site for work, and the couple spent many years as active contributors and happy residents of Conroe, Texas, in the Rivershire community. Frank was a true southern outdoorsman, winning awards for bass fishing, target shooting and hunting, and playing golf.
Frank was a significant contributor and leader at multiple Houston energy companies throughout his career, first at Hughes Tool Company, then Triumph LOR, and NL Industries. After building a business for Gammaloy and living in Anaco, Venezuela, Frank retired in 2000, following a stroke which brought him home to Houston.
In the years since 2000, while Frank’s health limited his activities, Frank continued to be a loving husband, Daddy, and Pappaw. He always had a smile and a silly face for the littles, sharing his bubble gum and his silver dollars regularly. Linda was ever by his side, ever his beloved Red.
Frank was predeceased by his father Frank Sr., his mother Mary, and his sister Libba Rogers.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2:00 p.m. at Alston Road Church of Christ, 13302 Alston Road, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
