James H Vander Velde

James Vander Velde, age 77, passed away on September 30, 2017 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He resided in Arizona for 10 years and previous to this lived in New Jersey for 30 years. James was predeceased by his wife, Carol and brother, Lawrence. He is survived by his daughter, Jaime, and siblings Allen, Richard, Merilee, Jeanne, and Daniel. James was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and was a retired Lt. Col in the Army Reserves. He retired from University Hospital in Newark, NJ as the Night Nurse Supervisor. James greatly enjoyed travel and saw much of the United States, Caribbean, and Europe. He also enjoyed good food and good laughs with friends and family. He will be missed by all. A private memorial will be held for friends and family in Arizona. Funeral services will be held in New Jersey.
