James Winstanley

James Russell Winstanley 4-13-1947 to 5-19-2023

Jim is survived and missed by his loving wife, and best friend, Laura.

Loving father, of daughters Erin (Mike), Kelly, and also, stepdaughter Kelly (Tom)  Loving grandfather of Jordan. 

Beloved brother of Jerry (Jeanne) and sister Cathy.

Jim is preceded in death by his beloved parents George and Virginia, and dear siblings Bobby and Christine.

He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and good friends.

Jim was raised and spent most of his life in Aurora CO, and later moved to Pahrump NV.

He proudly served in the US Navy on the USS Enterprise.

He graduated from Hinkley High School, and received a degree in statistics from Columbia College.

He retired from Lucent Technologies as, a Contract Administrator, and RTD as a professional bus driver.

Jim's interests included competitive bowling, and softball. Many good times were had at the Colorado Rockies games in

Denver and spring training in Arizona, He loved fishing in the Colorado mountains, the Denver Broncos, playing card and board games with family. 

Jim took pleasure in playing, Pirate Clan, and cherished the friendships of his fellow pirates.

He loved math, US history, and reading. 

Services will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery,

Monday May the 6^th, 12:40pm.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Boys Town in Nebraska
